The Best Chest Exercises According To Eric Janicki

Now, Eric Janicki might not be a household name yet, but one take a look at his physique, and you may see he knows methods to make his muscles grow. Now, in his video, the exercises were ranked slightly in a different way than standard #1, #2, etc… as an alternative, he opted for an S-F Tier rating system. He did have a definite top favorite pick, and the remaining are exercises that he recommends (A or B Tier).

  1. Machine Flyes (Pec Deck)
  2. Camber Bar Bench Press
  3. Incline Bench Cable Flies
  4. Machine Press
  5. Decline Dumbbell Fly
  6. Dips
  7. Cable Flies
  8. Incline Bench Cable Flies
  9. Barbell Incline Press
  10. Deficit Pushups

Breaking Down The Results

As we are able to see, there’s a reasonably good number of pressing movements vs. stretching movements from the primary two, while Janicki is more focused on stretches. Nippard and Cavaliere each have the classic bench press as the very best movement, while Janicki thinks the chance of injury and lack of stretch at the underside of the exercise doesn’t even place it in his top ten.

Nonetheless, he does say that a cambered bar bench press is an important exercise because you get a further few inches of range of motion at the underside of the movement.

We could go exercise for exercise, but that does not seem needed. Nippard’s list seems slightly more press-focused, Cavaliere’s list is a healthy combination of pressing and stretching, and Janicki’s definitely leans more into stretching.

Is one list higher than the others? Not necessarily.
