Introduction
Eating is something we regularly do mindlessly, out of habit, or while multitasking. Once we decelerate and convey mindfulness to our eating, we make space for insight to arise. Practice this chocolate meditation to learn more about your relationship with food, together with your body, and with craving.
Some of the well-known mindful eating exercises is the raisin meditation, attributed to Jon Kabat-Zinn and the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program. This exercise helps us to bring mindful attention to something we typically don’t hassle paying much attention to. The raisin, for most individuals, tends to be a neutral snack.
Chocolate, however, is something a lot of us link to craving or indulgence. Practicing chocolate mindfulness may also help deepen awareness regarding the bias, habits and judgements we bring to food and ourselves.
