The mandala (the word is Sanskrit for “circle”) is an ancient symbol of wholeness. Virtually every culture worldwide has sooner or later used a mandala as an instance some aspect of completeness or unity. The Vajrayana tradition, specifically, has many hundreds of various practices that involve mandala visualization.

On this guided meditation, we use a stripped-down, essentialized and Westernized mandala practice created by Michael Taft for his students. Michael guides you thru the fundamentals of this method, which you need to use for a lot of purposes: psychological self-understanding and healing, enhancing meditation concentration and focus, and spiritual growth and development.

Although at first this system could appear very different than the same old way we practice nondual meditation (resembling “dropping the ball”), they really support one another thoroughly. And in the long term, they start to merge.
